Silent Majesty

Silent Majesty was painted live during the 2026 Merrickville Artists’ Studio Tour, inside the historic Blockhouse Museum in Merrickville, Ontario. Surrounded by equestrian artifacts and objects steeped in history, I felt inspired to capture the quiet dignity and timeless beauty of the horse. Its bowed head and long, flowing mane became an expression of grace, strength, and gentle contemplation, reflecting the deep connection between horses and the generations of people whose lives and stories are intertwined with them.
