How To Order a Pet Portrait
Listed below is my current price list for pet portrait commissions for 2025. Please note that the pet portrait is sent with a matching white mount and no frame. **Shipping fees are NOT INCLUDED in the price list, see shipping information below for more details.
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required for all commissions and is necessary to reserve your spot on my *waiting list and before I begin any work on your portrait.
Deposits are non-refundable except for the rare chance that I, myself, am unable to complete your portrait, in which I will give a full refund.
You will receive a watermarked digital photograph of your portrait when it is completed for your review. Receipt of your last payment signifies that you are totally satisfied with the completed product.
Please allow a minimum of 8 weeks for completion (timeline will vary depending on size and complexity of the portrait).

Colored Pencil Portraits
The artwork is created using only quality pencils and paper. I use Faber Castell Polychromos and Caran D’Ache Colored pencils on Artistico Fabriano Hot pressed watercolor paper. These art products are all archival to ensure the quality and durability of the artwork.
All colored pencil portraits have a white background (Prices are based on one subject with a white background).
8 x 10 - $225 CAD
11 x 14 - $375 CAD

The above sizes represent the size of the paper that your portrait is fitted into.
Photos of your pet
You will need to provide at least 3 photos so that I can get a good view of your pet from different angles.
I only accept *digital photo references (as opposed to a physical printed photo).
*The resolution of the photo should be 300 dpi, with dimensions of at least 500 x 500 pixels.
When looking through your photos (or taking new ones), look for the following:

A photo in which the subject's face is sharply in focus. (Not blurred)

A photo that is bright with good contrast and no areas that are "bleached" out due to overexposure or flash use and no areas that are "blacked out" or blurry due to underexposure.

No 'flash' in the subject's eyes. (Green eyes, this prevents me from seeing the details of the eyes which are of significant importance when drawing portraits)

Photos that are taken outside in natural daylight are usually preferred as they provide ample light.
Please note that in order to do a photograph justice I can only work from excellent quality photos, and I reserve the right to turn down anything I do not deem suitable.

Shipping
Your portrait will be sent to you once your final payment is received. It will be professionally packed, insured (mandatory) and shipped to you via Canada Post. As shipping fees are NOT included in the price a quote will be provided to you before your booking so that you are fully aware of the cost. I currently ship ONLY within Canada or to the USA.
Your portrait will be carefully packaged and posted, tracked, and signed delivery.
Full payment must be paid before I ship the artwork. Payment of import duty may be necessary in some countries and is the responsibility of the client.
*When your portrait is completed, I reserve the right to use the image on this website and my portfolio and on my social media platforms such as Instagram and my Facebook page as samples of my work.

As an artist, I retain all copyright of all original finished artworks, whether commissioned or private.

Commissioned artworks are to be enjoyed and not copied or reprinted by the client in any way unless under certain written agreement from myself.

I retain all rights to advertise using the image for marketing, promotions, advertisements, and printing for merchandise (business cards, prints, etc.)

Each artwork helps me build my portfolio so I will be using commissioned artworks in advertising and on my social media. (Website, Facebook, Instagram, etc).
